DESCRIPTION:Mit zunehmender Verflechtung von IT-Systemen und seit der Erklärung des Cyberspace als militärischer Domäne wird Dual-Use von Informationstechnologie (IT) – die Nutzung von IT in Konflikten durch staatliche und nichtstaatliche Konfliktparteien – aktueller denn je. Dies kann durch die Vernetzung vieler kritischer Infrastrukturen zu unkontrollierbaren Folgen für die Zivilbevölkerung führen. Wie können wir den Missbrauch problematischer IT verhindern und die Verwendung kontrollieren? Wie können Missbrauchspotentiale in der Entwicklung von Software bereits im Designprozess verringert werden? Dieser Vortrag wird Dual-Use-Fragen systematisch einordnen\, konkrete Herausforderungen für die Entwicklung von IT benennen und Ansätze zur Bewertung von Dual-Use-Potentialen einführen.
