Special Session on Human-Machine Cooperation in Safety-Critical System at IEA 2018
The 20th International Ergonomics Association (IEA) conference will take place in Florence, Italy from 25th August to 30th August 2018. We would like to announce a Call for Papers for a Special Session on „Human-Machine Cooperation in Safety-Critical System“ within in the Human Factors and Ergonomics Domain „Work With Computing Systems – WWCS“.
Deadline: 15th December 2017 – Abstract Deadline (450 words, name of authors and reference are excluded from words count)
Special Session Chairs:
Tilo Mentler, University of Lübeck, Germany
Christian Reuter, Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany
Introduction:
The aim of this special session is to present and discuss current research on human-machine interaction and cooperation in mission- and safety-critical application domains (e.g. automotive, aviation, crisis management, healthcare, logistics/transport, plant operation). We invite contributions that provide case studies presenting experiences and evaluations of applications with respect to human factors and ergonomics in safety-critical domains, design principles for safety-critical human-machine systems (e.g. automation and assistance) or discuss future challenges (e.g. artificial intelligence, big data, responsibility, trust, secure safety, infrastructure resilience).
Details and Submission:
Due to some problems with the conference management system, please choose the Human Factors and Ergonomics Domain „Work With Computing Systems – WWCS“ and indicate the title of the special session (““Human-Machine Cooperation in Safety-Critical System“) in the body of the text during the submission process.
