In an era dominated by rapid technological advancements, the protection and promotion of human rights have extended into the digital realm. As the digital landscape evolves, so too must our understanding of the challenges and opportunities it presents. To shed light on these crucial issues, the 12th Rights Con Conference will convene in Costa Rica from the 5th to the 8th of June. Laura Guntrum will be attending the conference with more than 8100 participants from 175 countries. The Rights Con Conference, organized by Access Now, provides a platform for experts, advocates, and stakeholders to come together and shape the discourse on human rights in the digital age. Topics discussed include digital security of environmental defenders, gender based violence online, internet shutdowns, and privacy and surveillance.
