We would like to invite you to „Science – Peace – Security ’23“ – the 3rd Interdisciplinary Conference on Technical Peace Research, organized by TraCe, FONAS and SFB 1119 CROSSING – at Technical University of Darmstadt from September 20-22, 2023.
The conference examines the impact, control and design of technologies which influence peace and security. Existing approaches towards arms control need to adapt to the changing security landscape, while new civilian and military technologies are changing forms of violence and warfare.
We are delighted to have received nearly 50 submissions, from which we have been able to put together a varied and interesting PROGRAM. The program consists of 30 talks and idea pitches, seven poster presentations, two panel sessions, one workshop and one dialogue panel connecting research and practice. In addition to numerous contributions from Germany, we are pleased to welcome SPEAKERS from the United Kingdom, Sweden, the USA, Colombia, India, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Czech Republic, Iraq, Austria, and the Netherlands. If you are interested in actively PARTICIPATING in the conference, it is still possible to submit a poster. They will be presented during the 90-minute interactive poster session. Poster proposals can be submitted here: https://sps.peasec.de/sps23/submission/ (just title, authors and abstract are currently needed).
REGISTRATION for the conference is now open at https://sps.peasec.de/sps23/registration/ – however, the number of participants is limited to 100.
